This recent episode has drowned me in thought that is the extra labour put in to get our so called professional degree worth it, if our occupancy still depends on any Act or notification?
I do remember the initial days being a girl opting these professions was a controversial matter of discuss at any family function. Though I had never given ears to those, but today after years at 12:30 a.m I m thinking over.
There are other professions and degrees for which there is no any law granting employment. Like my brother being engineer was somewhere right in saying so.
This is entirely a debate on my mind and putting this forward has no intention to hurt any of my co-professionals.

In my journey of life, I have always watched over my politeness because that would only make me more and more eligible to learn and earn. Every night I look back to my words to check if in anyways they would have reflected arrogance/proud of my degrees. But the recent wars of jokes over and by the co-professionals, shows that the education has failed to provide politeness, respect and dignity to one’s own profession and also towards the others.
A very shameful act to fighting like cats and dogs between CA-CS-CWA has been seen over social networking sites, blaming and questioning each-others educational values and knowledge.
I believe that every profession is provided with well enough of knowledge to earn a respect in the society and every professional is responsible to maintain its code, dignity and knowledge. If you have knowledge you will never lack of bread and butter at least.
If someday Financial Audit is taken out of the hands of CAs and brought to governmental or other organization, still the professionals should be prepared with their head on their shoulder. Our clients should come to us for our knowledge and service.
“Be polite in word and firm in acts with true facts while serving your client, and let the client free to look for cheaper service, if your services are worth they will come back” at least this is what I learnt from my Principle/Trainer/Guide.
We use words like morals, code, ethics, Law & Knowledge to describe our profession, while in practice we miss these. Name lending and dummy practices are now being source of dosh. Quotation per sign/DSC is how services are charged.
Dear professionals have a little back bone and stand with dignity. Remember the day you thought to pursue the profession of independence & self-respect, the feeling to be servant to none and then think where you have reached?
This article is not with the intention to dis-respect any profession or professionals. This is just an expression of my personal view raised due to the recent experiences with an appeal to professional to maintain the dignity of the profession.
