WhatsApp has introduced a new “Message Drafts” feature, allowing users to start composing messages and have them automatically saved for later.
Now, when a user begins typing a message but doesn’t finish it, WhatsApp will save the draft and label it with a bright green “Draft” indicator. The draft will be moved to the top of the chat list, making it easy for users to spot and complete the message when they’re ready to send it.
Previously, WhatsApp would save partially typed messages inconsistently, and there was no guarantee that the draft would be retained when users returned to the conversation. Many users resorted to writing longer messages in their Notes app or another platform, then copying and pasting the text when it was ready to send.
With the new Message Drafts feature, incomplete messages are clearly marked and placed at the top of the chat list, right below pinned conversations. This feature is now available to users worldwide, on both iOS and Android devices.
