Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani on Tuesday announced the Jio Prime membership for initial 100 million customers of Reliance Jio.
Unlike the previous offers from Reliance Jio, the Prime membership offer isn’t exactly cheap. You will have to make a one-time payment of Rs 99 on or before 31st March, 2017 to activate the membership. And then you will have to shell out Rs 303 per month for 30GB data. It is Rs 10 per day. You can continue reaping the benefits for another one year, till March 31st, 2018.
Unde Jio prime membership, you can make unlimited voice and video calls to any operator for free. You will also get 1GB of 4G LTE data every day. Even the data being offered is technically unlimited but fair usage policy has curtailed the offer to 1GB in a day. You can of course continue browsing at slower speeds or use a booster pack to increase the limit.
The registrations for Jio Prime membership starts March 1 and end March 31. Users who join the Jio network on or before March 31 this year will also be eligible for Jio Prime membership. Existing users can enroll via MyJio app or log into company’s website as well as via Jio offline stores to enroll into Jio Prime membership plan.
If you think the Prime membership is not for you, you will be automatically be signed up for either Jio’s prepaid or postpaid plans. By paying the monthly tariffs outlined in Jio’s website, you will get the designated amount of data (for 4G LTE and JioNet) with unlimited data usage at night. You will also get unlimited text messages, both national and local and access to Jio’s suite of apps.
