Ringing Bells has launched the Freedom 251, as it had promised. This becomes the cheapest smartphone in India. It has a 4-inch qHD display, is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core processor, has 1GB of RAM, comes with 3G connectivity and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop). It has a 3.2-megapixel rear camera and a VGA front-facing camera.
It will be available to buy on the company’s website from 6am on February 18 and close at 8pm on February 21.

The company already said that ‘Freedom 251’ launch is in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for “empowering India to the last person, transforming India’s growth story”. The phone comes pre-loaded with several apps for Women Safety, Swachh Bharat, Framers, Fishermen and more.
